Day 1: Go to bathroom and open cabinet to get rid of your headache and use the
shower to get rid of your smell. Go to next bedroom & search trenchcoat
twice to find the library card.
Get downstairs and go to study. Examine plan so you'll find the hidden
passage. Go up the passage and take rope. Open the upper door but go
down the ladder so the door stays open. Go back to study and leave the
lower door open, too. If you still haven't got the knock on the door or
the phonecall, go out and to the garage (RIGHT of the house).
Open car's trunk and get the crowbar. Get in car and get the gloves from
glove-compartment. Use the car radio at least once every day, sometimes
you'll get messages.
Get back in house & go to the attic. Push trunk thrice, and get the
clock from behind. Use crowbar to open trunk and get the diary.
Go to terrace and tie the rope on the gargoyle. After you've got the
call from library, go out and go to the town.
Go to shop and buy the whiskey. Delbert gets in and gives you a card.
He also makes an appointment for next evening at 6:00pm. Go to library.
Take bobby-pin from floor, talk to librarian, she gives you a book.
Give her the library card, go to aisle C and examine the green book.
Go to the cemetary to the Tuttle's family crypt. Push the stones to get
in (left-up-right) examine ashes to get the key.
Get back to your house and use the key on the clock. Remember the name.
Now you can get some sleep.
Day 2: Take pills and shower. Wait for mail. Use the shard on the mirror and
use your new teleport.
Get upstairs by the dark side's equivalent of the secret passage. Take
binoculars (although you won't need them). Hold gloves while you pull
the lever. Get downstairs and out of the house.
Go left enough to get the spade.
Return to lighter side and go digging on McKeegan's grave. Get the note.
After you get back to your house, you'll get arrested. Hide bobby-pin,
money and gloves under the pillow. Use mug on bars to call the guard.
Give Delbert's card to guard. Take the gun on your way out.
Wait beside your garage 'til 6:00pm. Go after Delbert and give him the
bottle. Take stick and teleport back to darker side.
Go out and right 'til you get to the abyss (and the beast guarding
the bridge). Throw stick down, thy neighbourly dog jumps after it.
Go over and get in the darker police station. After you are in jail,
take stuff from under the pillow, and pick lock with bobby-pin (twice).
Talk to alien and give him the pin, you'll get an invisibility headband
Go to the leech in front of the "darker" library and use the
headband. Dash in the Archive and use the vid-screen, you'll get a
microfilm. Get out while still invisible, and hurry back to the lighter
Get some shut-eye.
Day 3: Take pills and shower. Go to library and use the reader on microfilm.
Take a hint and go to the store to get another bottle of whiskey. Hurry
back to your house.
Don't use the front door after you have gotten the axe-handle by mail,
you'll only get arrested. Use the rope tied to the gargoyle to get to
the garage. But first go to the cellar and take the flagstone on the
floor. Take car-keys from the hole.
Teleport to dark side and go out leftmost to the alien brainroom with a
nuclear oven. Use flagstone in oven and use axe-handle on flagstone to
make a nifty hammer.
Now get back to lighter side and climb rope to the garage, pour whiskey
in the tank and start car with keys.
Go back to darker side and go inside the alien ship. Hold gloves and
pull the lever. Get out. (The ship should take off, and you'll go
automatically back to lighter side).
Use hammer on the mirror. Answer the knock on the door, the librarian
brings you some pills to permanently cure your headache.
Now watch the starting intro and... WHAT ! WAS THAT IT ? NO EXPLOSIONS
AND SCREAMING ALIENS TWISTING IN SEARING FLAMES ?? Oh pooh. What about
all those imprisoned souls at the clutches of the LEECH ? Maybe someone
at the creative end got as tired as I got in the solving end.
Banged my head for weeks without the hairpin.
