Once you install Sierra's Diablo patch and follow the directions below, you
can play as new characters.
1. Use the Windows 95 Notepad utility to create a new file named
command.txt.
2. In command.txt, enter this single line of text:
cowquest;theoquest;bardtest;barbariantest.
3. Save command.txt and place this file in your Hellfire directory.
Here's what each Easter egg will do:

COWQUEST Replaces Lester the Farmer with...well, you just have
to see this hilarious new character. He will give you a
quest just like Lester does after the church and
catacomb levels are cleared.
THEOQUEST Places a new character in the game, a sweet little girl
who has lost Theo to the bad creatures in the hive.
You'll see her after you descend into the hive and then
come up to town again.
BARDTEST Activates a new character class, the Bard. She has
maximum status of 120 strength, 120 magic, 120
dexterity, and 100 vitality. The Bard can wield two
swords at once, getting damage bonuses from both
applied to her attack. She's also able to do sweep
attac
BARBARIANTEST Activates yet another new character class. You guessed
it--play as Ah-nold the Barbarian now. This guy is
pretty cool--his maximum stats are 270 strength, 0
magic, 40 dexterity, and 150 vitality. He can use a
two-handed sword or mace/maul in one hand, and
can play as new characters.
