Note: I'll redo a lot of this to make it cleaner when it's completed
This is presented to ease searches for new potions

All combos indicated as working were tried (and are listed)
Enough exploding combos were tried to establish pattern (not listed)
Nothing was tried at Master level or higher (can't get to Nighon)

Numbers being added are the total number of basic potions "inside"
Bottle: 0
Reagent: 0
Basic Potion: 1
Complex Potion: 2
Compound(3): 3 (called "Layered Potion")
Compound(4): 4 (called "Layered Potion")

There are:
1 Bottle
8 Reagents (4 flavors, 2 strengths each)
3 Basic Potions
3 Complex Potions
9 Compound(3)
3 Compound(4)


Normal level or higher required:
                               
0 + 0 = 1:
Potion Bottle + Reagent = Basic Potion
All combinations work

(bottle) + (widowsweep) = Cure Wounds (red), power = 1+skill
(bottle) + (rose petals) = Cure Wounds (red), power = 5+skill
(bottle) + (poppysnaps) = Cure Weakness (yellow), power = 1+skill
(bottle) + (fae dust) = Cure Weakness (yellow), power = 5+skill
(bottle) + (phirna root) = Magic Potion (blue), power = 1+skill
(bottle) + (meteorite) = Magic Potion (blue), power = 5+skill
(bottle) + (mushroom) = Catalyst (grey), power = 1+skill
(bottle) + (obsidian) = Catalyst (grey), power = 5+skill

For the rest of the combinations:
Catalysts only increase power, so they won't be included below
(catalyst) + (x) = (x), power = power of catalyst (can go down)
(x) + (y) = (z), power = [(power of x)+(power of y)]/2, round down
If plan to use catalyst, use LAST, and use low power ingredients


1 + 1 = 2:
Basic Potion + Basic Potion = Complex Potion
All combinations work

(red) + (yellow) = Cure Disease (Orange)
(red) + (blue) = Cure Poison (Purple)
(yellow) + (blue) = Awaken (Green)

All work as per spell description


Expert level or higher required:

1 + 2 = 3:
Basic Potion + Complex Potion = Compound(3)
All combinations work

(Orange) + (red) = Haste (Orange+red)
(Orange) + (yellow) = Stoneskin (Orange+yellow)
(Orange) + (blue) = Preservation (Orange+blue)
(Purple) + (red) = Heroism (Purple+red)
(Purple) + (yellow) = Water Breathing (Purple+yellow)
(Purple) + (blue) = Shield (Purple+blue)
(Green) + (red) = Bless (Green+red)
(Green) + (yellow) = Harden Item (Green+yellow)
(Green) + (blue) = Recharge Item (Green+blue)

Water Breathing: No "drowning" damage taken for duration
Harden Item: Use on item to make harder to break (permanent)
Recharge Item: As spell, but permanently loses (70%-power) charges
All others work as per spell description
Durations for non-permanent spells are (30 minutes)x(power)


1 + 3 = 1:
Basic Potion + Compound(3) = Basic Potion
Equivalent to [(Complex + Basic) + Basic)]
Works if (Complex)+(either Basic) is not "colorless" (R+Y+B)
Produces (grey) if Basics are different colors
Produces (color) if Basics are both (color)
All other combos explode at expert level (higher ???)

(Orange+red) + (red) = red
(Orange+red) + (yellow) = grey
(Orange+yellow) + (red) = grey
(Orange+yellow) + (yellow) = yellow
(Purple+red) + (red) = red
(Purple+red) + (blue) = grey
(Purple+blue) + (red) = grey
(Purple+blue) + (blue) = blue
(Green+yellow) + (yellow) = yellow
(Green+yellow) + (blue) = grey
(Green+blue) + (yellow) = grey
(Green+blue) + (blue) = blue

Basic Potion + Compound(4) = Basic Potion
All combinations work (and give grey potion)
(Orange+Purple) + (red/yellow/blue) = Catalyst (grey)
(Orange+Green) + (red/yellow/blue) = Catalyst (grey)
(Purple+Green) + (red/yellow/blue) = Catalyst (grey)


2 + 2 = 4:
Complex Potion + Complex Potion = Compound(4)
All combinations work

(Orange) + (Purple) = Remove Fear (Orange+Purple)
(Orange) + (Green) = Cure Insanity (Orange+Green)
(Purple) + (Green) = Remove Curse (Purple+Green)

All work as per spell description


2 + 3 = 1:
Complex Potion + Compound(3) = Basic Potion
Only works if Compound(3) is "colorless" (R+Y+B)
Produces last color added to layered potion
All other combos explode at expert level (higher ???)

(Orange+blue) + (Orange/Purple/Green) = blue
(Purple+yellow) + (Orange/Purple/Green) = yellow
(Green+red) + (Orange/Purple/Green) = red

Complex Potion + Compound(4) = Basic Potion
