Hint: The most effective way to move your troops and exploit any weaknesses in
the enemy's position is to use the chain of command. Start by selecting your
army commander, expending all but one of his available initiative points.
Next, locate a subordinate corps commander and follow the same directions.
Finally, locate a subordinate division commander within the corps, making sure
to expend all of his initiative points before you finally end your turn.

Hint: To get the most out of your cavalry, order them to dismount prior to
combat. During the American Civil War, mounted cavalry was rarely ordered into
battle as they were very susceptible to massed infantry attacks, especially
when they were attacking troops armed with repeating rifles.
