Warrior Walkthrough
Chapter 1: The Fortress of Dun Mir

You start out your adventure as a warrior right outside the Fortress of Dun Mir
in the forest of, well, Dun Mir. Your quest here is one of a warrior, and that
is
to find the famous Gauntlet of Dun Mir.

To find it, you simply need to run north, but you’ll want to explore the area
first. You will find areas in the wall that you can break open, for goodies.
Finding these hidden caves will also give you some experience, so whenever you
see a portion of a wall the looks a little unstable, try whacking it with your
sword.

Once you reach the gauntlet, you will be told to first find a sponsor before you
can be admitted. So nearby you will find a man named Gearheart who is having
some
trouble with an Urchin in his orchard. He will give you a key to the gates and
tell you that if you slay the little Urchin, he will sponsor you for the
gauntlet.

The orchard is just to the right of the gauntlet. Enter through the gate to run
into some annoying bats, and scared women. Kill the bats, and then head to the
back of the area to find a cave where the Urchin is hiding. Quickly slay him and
exit the area.

Since he is the chief engineer for Dun Mir, Gearheart is always in the machine
room to the left of the gauntlet, so that is where you will find him for your
sponsorship. Once you have it, head to the gauntlet to end this chapter.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 2: The Gauntlet

Once you speak to the guard in front of the gauntlet, you will be admitted and
Chapter 2 will begin. You will be presented to Horrendous as a new recruit, and
then be whisked away into the dangerous gauntlet.

The gauntlet isn’t too tough, just watch the pattern of each trap, and then make
your way through them. At the end, you will gain massive experience, which
should
be more than enough to pump you up to level 2.

After the gauntlet, you will be informed that Gearheart has been trapped under
the machine room, and you need to go rescue him. So, head over to the machine
room and flip the switch to enter the elevator area.

Make your way through the dark tunnels. When you come to a room where you find a
switch that will cause 2 rows of spiked blocks to smash together, you can find
some nice leggings. Throw the switch, then quickly run behind the topmost row of
blocks to find the Flimsy Leather Leggins of Wasps Bane, which adds to your
poison resist.

Continue down the hall, and pass the first gate. Defeat the giant scorpion (be
sure to have some cure poison potions and health items hot-keyed as it can be a
tough fight), and then enter the final door to talk to Gearheart. Return to the
hall, and then go through the gate that you passed up before. Inside the
treasure
chest right past the door, is a silver key that will get you to Gearheart. Once
you meet up with him, you both will need to hit a switch at the same time to
exit
the area and end this chapter.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 3: Trouble in Ix.

Horrendous needs you to investigate some troubles in nearby Ix. He will give you
some gold to upgrade your weapons, and then send you on your way. You will want
stop by the local shops to buy the best armor and weapons that you currently can
afford then head to the road across the bridge to get to Ix.

On before you get to the road to Ix, you will pass through some immense caves.
Explore these a little and you will find an area with pools of water and many
Leaches. In the corner of this area is a breakable wall behind which hides the
Flimsy Leather Arms of Wasps Bane.

As soon as you exit the caves, you will be on the road to Ix. Watch out for
bandits in this area! Make your way until you come to small market. The top exit
leads to Ix.

When you enter the town the mayor will meet up with you and tell you of Urchin
who have taken over the cemetery, and stolen his scepter. He instructs you to
return his scepter and kill the Urchin, while also mentioning a warrior who
disappeared while in the cemetery.

Make your way to the outskirts of the town to find the cemetery and fight your
way inside. You will come to an elevator that leads to the Urchin caves. Beware
that these are can be very twisty and confusing, so use your auto-map. By fully
exploring this level you can find different colored keys. The ruby and saffire
keys enable you to open a treasure room, which holds the Sturdy Iron Mace of
Collision.

There, you will find many locked doors, and eventually a hole in the ground. By
dropping down that whole you will be in a cage of dirt that you can easily break
out of. Defeat the Urchin and the magic using Urchin and you will find a room
with the scepter and a ruby key. Then, you will find the lost warrior who speaks
of undead hordes before dying.

Defeat the undead, and continue into the next room. After the elevator you will
come to an area with four exits, one of which needs a gold key. Go into the top
door, and break the section right next to the locked door to get to the undead
blocking the gold key. One you exit through the gold key gate, you will be able
to leave the cemetery.

Return to town and give the scepter to the Mayor for experience and some coin.
Once you do that stock up on supplies, armor, and weapons, and then head to the
front gate to meet up with your captain friend.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 4: Beneath the Field of Valor

The first quest in this chapter is pretty straightforward. You must search the
Tomb of Valor for any sign of Hecubah’s presence. And believe me, you will find
it. The tomb is right next to where you start this chapter, so enter it and
prepare to battle hordes of undead.

About halfway through the Tomb, you will finally lay eyes on Hecubah at which
point you must fight off her Necromancer lackey. He is relatively easy to
defeat,
simply dodge his fire blasts and then hack him to pieces every chance you get.

After that battle, you will be apparently trapped forever. Buried alive…buried
alive! But, you have the handy auto map! By switching on your map, you can
easily
find your way through the dungeon, at which point you will have to fight a
Wizard
using lightning spells in order to get out.

Chapter 5: Ogre Raid at the Hamlet Brin

This Chapter finally tests your skills as a warrior as you must rescue some fair
maidens from the evil Ogres.

Before you do that, you must retrieve a stolen cloak down near the docks. So,
hurry up down there and slaughter the Ogres for the cloak.

After that you will be directed to the Ogre encampment where the women are held.
There are a couple switches here that you need to throw in order to get some
doors open, but otherwise it is pretty straightforward.

Once you find them in their prison, you will need to lead them back to the
townsfolk, while keeping them alive. So, it is a good idea to take out any and
all Ogres in the area before freeing them so you have a clear path to the area.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 6: The Halberd of Horrendous

This is the first of the last quests in the game to create the weapon that you
will use to defeat Hecubah. The first part of the weapon is the Halberd of
Horrendous. Of course, Hecubah knows that you are after it so she will try to
get
it herself.

The object of this chapter is to not allow Hecubah to get her hands on the
Halberd. So, you must join up with the warriors of Dun Mir and fight off the
undead army.

In the end, Horrendous will fall, but the Halberd will be safely in your hands.
You will now have to get the final three pieces of the weapon that will destroy
Hecubah and bring peace back to Nox.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 7: The Heart of Nox

In this chapter, you must return the Heart of Nox from the tower of illusion.
You
will need to go through six floors of wacky wizards in order to reach your goal.
The floors are:

Floor 2: Advanced Invisibility

Floor 3: Fun with Electricity

Floor 4: Beginning Teleportation and Cafeteria

Floor 5: Advanced Magic and Wizard Fashions

Floor 6: The Heart of Nox

One thing to remember is that you do not need to defeat every single wizard to
pass a given floor, you can run right past them to get to the next level. That
is
a good tactic that can save your life as the Wizards can gang up quickly and
make
your life a living hell.

The only tough part of the level is on one of the higher floors where there are
multiple teleporters with one final teleporter behind cages in the middle of the
room. You need to transport yourself into the small rooms with the switches and
pull each one until the center pad is open, and thus you can make your way to
the
Heart of Nox. When you get close, you will have to duel two wizards at once. Try
to have armor equipped that gives you good resists and use your charging attack
often. Then you will need to move the boxes onto each of the floor panels to get
the Heart of Nox.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 8: The Wierdling

This is a pretty easy quest. You need to go into the Temple of Ix to track down
and capture the Wierdling, yet another portion of the Halberd quest. Simply use
your auto map to navigate the caves until you have to duel two Stone Golems.
Defeat them, and you will finally find the Wierdling Beast.

You now only have one last item to get, and to get it you must go through the
darkest parts of Nox. The final stretch of your adventure now lies in front of
you. Quickly go to the Dismal Swamp to get to the Land of the Dead!

-----------------------------------

Chapter 9: Journey through the Dismal Swamp

Just as the Chapter title says, this quest will be your trip through the swamp.
There are a lot of poisonous creatures and plants here, so you will want to have
a high poison resist via armor, or many poison potions.

This is one quest that confuses some people. First you will find Aldwyn’s
brother
in the swamp, who will direct you to an Ogre encampment. The thing is, there are
actually two Ogre camps in the Swamp. The first one is small, with only one
building and a captive wizard. The second one is to the North/North East more
with many more Ogres, and an underground passage. You will want to pass through
this underground passage to reach the Land of the Dead.

When you reach that snowy area, not only will there be hordes of undead to
battle, but you will need to duel a couple of Necromancers before reaching your
final destination.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 10: The Land of the Dead

This is it, your final quest before battling Hecubah. You must make your way
through the Land of the Dead to get the final piece of the Staff of Obilivion,
and then defeat Hecubah to return peace to the land.

The level is full of undead, and annoying little gargoyles. The majority of the
area is pretty straightforward, but the end can be considered one of the hardest
parts of the entire game.

You will come to a door blocked by two laser beams, and a door to the north
blocked by one. There are also two small circular notches on the floor in front
of the dual beams. What you need to do is to find two keys, one blue, the other
red. First off, go through the lower of the three doors where you will find the
first key, as well as a switch that will deactivate the laser beam blocking the
north door. Leave that area, and use the key to deactivate the first laser.
Then,
enter the north door and follow the passageways to find the next key.

After deactivating both lasers you will have access to the last parts of the
level. One room has four lasers that you will need to dodge before you can get
to
the switches in the middle of the room that will turn them off.

Then, you will need to switch two more switches to access the final piece of the
Staff of Obilivion.

Hecubah will appear and send a whole army of undead after you, but they will be
no challenge now that you have the ultimate weapon in the universe! Plow through
the bones, and then recharge the staff (if needed) at one of the blue stones.
Now, you must fight Hecubah on her terms.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 11: Battle in the Underworld

Finally you have reached your goal. Face to face with Hecubah. You have the
powerful Staff of Oblivion in your one hand, the fate of Nox in the other. What
do you do? Do you beat the witch into the ground? Or do you get beat into the
ground? Well unless you are an idiot, you’ll want to smear the walls with that
Necromancer witch. Equip your Staff, take aim, and fire. If you continually
recharge the staff between her retreats, you should have no problem taking her
down.

Wizard Walkthrough
Chapter 1: Horvath the Wizard

The first chapter of your wizard adventure introduces you to Horvath the Wizard,
who just happens to have lost his apprentice to the evil little Urchins. So, you
must venture into the Urchin lair to investigate what happened to the poor
apprentice.

You’ll find him right as you enter the caves, locked behind a gate. First, go up
north more to locate the key, and then return to speak to the apprentice. After
a
few short words about a necromancer, he will die, leaving you his robe.

Return to Horvath to explain to him what happened, at which point he will make
you his new apprentice.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 2: Galava Castle

Now that you are a wizard’s apprentice, you need to go to the home of all
knowledge in Nox, Galava Castle. It is here that Horvath will find two of the
tools needed (or so he thinks) to fight the evil necromancer Hecubah.

Horvath needs you to retrieve a book and an amulet from the library.
Unfortunately one of Hecubah’s lackeys beats you to the punch and steals the
book. So, you must chase after him and retrieve it. Simply run through the
library while fighting off the small, weak enemies until you come to the
necromancer holding the book. Toast him into ashes using your spells, and then
take the book back to the librarian who will give you the amulet.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 3: A Dangerous Errand

Once you complete your first task as a wizard apprentice, Horvath sends you out
on yet another one, but this time it is a little more dangerous than the last.
Stravas has another amulet that Horvath needs, but he lives far from Galava
Castle.

You must run through underground caves, which are infested with bandits, to get
to the forest where Stravas lives. You can either fight, or avoid the bandits,
but if you dodge too many you may find yourself smashed between a cave wall and
an army of angry bandits.

When you finally make it out of the caves (by pushing a boulder down a long
hall), you will be in Stravas’ forest. His little shack isn’t too far to the
north west of where you exit the cave, so head in that direction for a startling
discovery. The bandits have murdered Stravas. Not only that, but the treasure
you
search for has been stolen.

So, you only have one thing to do, and that is to infiltrate their hideout and
fight your way to the amulet. It’s not too deep within the cave, but it is well
guarded. Try to limit your fights to one-on-one, and have healing potions (or
food) hot-keyed. When you get the amulet, return to Horvath in the castle.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 4: Beneath the Field of Valor

The first quest in this chapter is pretty straightforward. You must search the
Tomb of Valor for any sign of Hecubah’s presence. And believe me, you will find
it. The tomb is right next to where you start this chapter, so enter it and
prepare to battle hordes of undead.

About halfway through the Tomb, you will finally lay eyes on Hecubah at which

alive! But, you have the handy auto map! By switching on your map, you can
easily
find your way through the dungeon, at which point you will have to fight a
Wizard
using lightning spells in order to get out.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 5: Ogre Raid at the Hamlet of Brin

The Wizard’s trip into Ogre lands is almost identical to the Warrior’s. Instead
of having to rescue a group of women, you must go and free Horvath.

As with the Warrior and Conjurer quests, the same switches open the same doors
and the only real foe in this area are the Ogre hordes. The throne room contains
the key needed to free Horvath, and once you do so you must protect him on your
way back to town. So, it would be a good idea to wipe out any opposition in your
way before freeing him.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 6: The Halberd of Horrendous

The object of this chapter is to not allow Hecubah to get her hands on the
Halberd. This is also the first of the last quests in the game to create the
weapon that you will use to defeat Hecubah. The first part of the weapon is the
Halberd of Horrendous. Of course, Hecubah knows that you are after it so she
will
try to get it herself. And, since you are a wizard, you will not be welcome in
Dun Mir. So, use Invisibility and get ready for the fight of your life. You will
need to defeat the first two guards in order to get the Gold Key. The good news
is, the warriors fall to magic easily!

In the end, Horrendous will fall to your spells, but the Halberd will be safely
in your hands. You will now have to get the final three pieces of the weapon
that
will destroy Hecubah and bring peace back to Nox.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 7: The Heart of Nox

In this chapter, you must return the Heart of Nox from the tower of illusion.

The quest here is different than the Warrior or Conjurer versions. Since you are
perfectly at home and welcome in the Tower of Illusion, you can simply teleport
up to the top of the tower and arrive at the Heart of Nox instantly.

Well, that was easy wasn’t it? Not to be unfair to the other two classes in the
game, Hecubah arrives to make your life a little more difficult. Since you
immediately received the Heart without having to work for it, she banishes you
to
the Underworld.

This is your basic cave, with the exception of there being many pools of lava
and
annoying little demons. Use your auto-map, and try to have a good fire-resist
item or two (a the fire resist spell will work also), and this level will pass
in
no time.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 8: The Wierdling

This is a pretty easy quest. You need to go into the Temple of Ix to track down
and capture the Wierdling, yet another portion of the Halberd quest. To get into
the temple, speak to Aldwyn the Conjurer. Simply use your auto map to navigate
the caves until you have to duel two Stone Golems. Defeat them, and you will
finally find the Wierdling Beast.

This is it, your final quest before battling Hecubah. You must make your way
through the Land of the Dead to get the final piece of the Staff of Obilivion,
and then defeat Hecubah to return peace to the land.

Conjurer Walkthrough
Chapter 1: Shortcut to Ix

The Conjurers first quest if pretty easy. You must get to the Village of Ix and
seek out the Conjurer Aldwyn. Simply make your way through the unstable caves
until you come to the village.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 2: Aldwyn the Conjurer

Aldwyn’s cottage is on the outskirts of town, but you will need to run through
an
urchin lair to get to it (which isn’t hard at all). Once you locate Aldwyn he
will give you a quest. Apparently spiders infect both the underground tunnel to
the town, and the Mayors’ house. So you need to take care of them by either
charming them, or slaughtering them. The tunnel has a bunch of small spiders,
but
the Mayor’s house has a massive black beast that can be more of a challenge.
Once
you take care of them, see Aldwyn.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 3: Rescue at the Mana Mines

After fulfilling Aldwyn’s quest, you will be informed of trouble in the Mana
Mines. So, hurry on up and get there to speak with the Miner at the gate. He
will
tell you of six lost miners inside, and of course you must go rescue them. The
first four are each down the corridors leading from the four doors, once you get
those, speak to the first miner to be pointed in the direction of the final two.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 4: Beneath the Field of Valor

The first quest in this chapter is pretty straightforward. You must search the
Tomb of Valor for any sign of Hecubah’s presence. And believe me, you will find

Wizard
using lightning spells in order to get out.

-----------------------------------

Chapter 5: Ogre Raid at the Hamlet of Brin

This Chapter is very similar to the Warrior’s version, except that you do not
need to rescue any damsels in distress (I guess Conjurers are just jerks or
something). The layout of the area is almost exactly the same, so just eliminate
all the warriors and follow your journal to victory.

In the end, Horrendous will fall, but the Halberd will be safely in your hands.
You will now have to get the final three pieces of the weapon that will destroy

Chapter 7: The Heart of Nox

You
