Konoko has some crazy moves, and mastering them is the key to staying alive
later
in the game. You can't always rely on your guns to take down foes, and besides
--
smacking them around is too much fun! As you progress, you'll learn new moves,
so
all of the ones shown below won't be available, but the information is good to
have. More moves will be added to this page after the full game is available.

Legend:
F = Forward
B = Back
L/R = Left/Right
C = Crouch (shift key on PC/Mac)
P = Punch
K = Kick
D = Dash (double tap Forward)
J = Jump
+ = two keys together at the same time
, = pressing one key then another

Leg Sweep

C + K

This is a good move for easily hitting people while they're down. Simply use
this
move when enemies are lying on the ground and you'll score an extra hit almost
every time. Be careful not to overuse it, though, as enemies will block the
second shot and retaliate harshly.

Jump Flip

J + C

The Jump Flip gives Konoko a little extra distance on her jump, but it can also
be used as an attack. If you bring Konoko down on top of opponents, she'll kick
them and do some damage. Useful for further punishing opponents you've just
knocked down.

Slide

D + C

Slides are easy to do, and a great way to either knock opponents down or hit
them
while they're down. Simply double tap Forward to start a dash, then hit the
Crouch key.

Spinning Backhand

F + P

The spinning backhand is a good move early in the game when you don't have
access
to some of the more powerful special moves. It's quick to pull off, does decent
damage, and usually knocks opponents down. Simply press Forward and Punch at the
same time and Konoko will give her opponent a meaty backhanded punch to the
skull.

Throw

F + K/P while close to an opponent

Performing a throw simply requires that you press Forward and Kick or Punch when
near an enemy. Throws cannot be blocked, and do a fair amount of damage. Of
course, if you're close enough to throw your opponent, you're close enough to
get
thrown by him/her as well...

Running Throw

K while running

The running throw will cause Konoko to grab her opponent with her legs, then
flip
him/her into the air and a short distance away. Simply be running or dashing,
then hit Kick when you are near an opponent. This move is useful for tossing
opponents over the sides of ledges, but be careful --Konoko could go over the
side herself if you're not careful!

Sledgehammer Heel

P, P, K

The timing on this move takes some practice, but it's your best combo at the
start of the game. Press Punch, Punch, then Kick right as Konoko is finishing up
the last punch animation. She'll spin around and slam her heel into your
opponent's head. The last part of this combo can be blocked, but does quite a
bit
of damage if it connects.

Blocking

(No keys)

Blocking is the easiest movement, as it requires pressing no keys at all. Simply
stand still and Konoko will block high attacks. To block low attacks, hold down
the Crouch key. Note that throws and some special moves cannot be blocked, so be
careful!

Disarm

F + P when near armed foe

This simple move will strip an opponent of his/her weapon, leaving it for you to
use. It also does a bit of damage to boot, not to mention looking cool.

BackBreaker

F + K when behind enemy

This one's hard to set up, but it's worth it. Creep up behind an unsuspecting
oppoenent, then stand up and press Forward and Kick at the same time. Konoko
will
grab both of her victim's arms, then snap them painfully backwards as she plants
her foot in the lower back. Painful and quite devistating.

Triple Hit Haymaker

P, P, P

These quick and deadly enemies are the most agile opponents you'll go up
against.
They move fast and tend to evade your attacks a lot, so be on your toes. Some
ninjas can even Phase Cloak themselves at will, making them difficult to see.
