Return to krondor is an excellent game, but it is also very difficult. Some
episodes seem impossible to go through, and therefore, after I had finished
the game I decided to write this walkthrough.
Do not, and I repeat, do not do only what is written here so you can finish the
game quickly. You'll need to get into shops, buy and sell stuff, perform
alchemy experiments and etc. if you won't that really takes the fun out of the
Use this walkthrough only if you tried already solving the episode and you're
stuck. Don't use it immediately when you start an episode.
At this episode the objective is to meet jazhara, the newly appointed court
mage, and escort her to the palace. It is quite simple. But I recommend
getting into battles while playing with James alone, and with jazhara, so they
could gain experience. Also it is good to collect all the items, and sell
whatever isn't necessary at the shop in the palace sector. Jazhara is located
in the north gate quarter. There, you should talk to the guard. After you've met
Jazhara, travel in krondor a little and get into fights, so you could gain more
experience. After a while, go back to the palace. When you'll come close to
the palace, a little girl will come and rob you. You must catch her. But it is
easy task: go towards the shop and you'll find her. Talk to her. You'll discover
that she comes from an orphanage where children are being treated badly.
Then she'll run away. To save her and the children from the orphanage, go to
the poor sector. You should see a keshian guard standing outside. Talk to him
and demand entrance. When you enter, talk to the other keshian there, and
he'll tell you that his master is ready to see you. Enter the room and talk to
Yusuf. Then Jazhara will ask James to leave. She talks to yusuf. When Yusuf
asks you to betray, play along with him. Then, get in to the orphanage again,
and fight yusuf and his two guards. This is a hard battle, but you should be
able to win. After you'll win, get into Yusuf's room, get the documents from his
table and his key from the locked chest. Then go upstairs and release the girl
from upstairs. Now you can go back to the palace.
In this episode the objective is to discover who are the man that attacked the
rainbow parrot. The episode starts with William, Pug's son, calling James and
Jazhara to help him. Win this battle and then you will speak to Talia, who is
dying. She'll tell some important facts. After Talia is dead, search the bodies
and leave the inn. Than, you should see a big explosion. That the jail. Get
there and talk to the commander. He will ask you to help him. You should also
see a soldier defending himself from flying arrows. Get into the street where
the arrows are being shot, and fight the enemies. After you've won the battle,
go to the open door at the end of the street, where the archers stood earlier.
In there, you'll find more enemies. After you've defeated them, go to the next
room and beat the enemies there, until you'll get to a room that is on fire.
Than go to the previous room. You'll find the commander and a few soldiers
there. Talk to the commander. He'll tell you to search upstairs and downstairs.
Start upstairs. There should be a tied man up there. Don't release him yet. Go
to the room next to him and defeat the enemies there. Than go to the tied
man and release him. Interrogate him until he attacks you. After you've
defeated him, go downstairs to the dungeons. Talk to the drunken man there.
He'll tell you some important facts. After you've talked to him, talk to the
commander upstairs. You'll see that someone ran from the jail to the north.
Go to the north gate sector. You'll see that the orphanage there is on fire, and
you need to save the children. Jazhara should cast a fire eater spell on
James. You'll need to work fast or the spell will wear off. After you've saved
the children, get out of the orphanage and go to ye bitten dog. Talk the lucky
Pete. The bar tender. You'll need to get the key to Lucas's room. (Pay for the
key). Then, go upstairs and get into Lucas's room. Fight the men there.
The objective is to find Lucas in the sewers below Krondor before Bear does.
Get in the sewers. You should see at first a scary thing going in the sewers.
Go left at the first turn, where the monster went. Keep going and don't make
any turns until you see a turn left that seems to be lit. Go there, and you'll
that the party hiding quickly. You'll see some man coming. Listen to what they
say, and ask them everything. Don't arrest them and don't insult them. Now
go to where you've seen the men coming from. You ought to meet a group of
mockers later. Greet the mockers. Ask them everything. When you'll ask them
about Lucas, they'll tell you to ask someone else. To meet him, first you need
to rich the center of the sewer system. When you'll get closer, you should
hear water. Now beware: it is possible that you will be attacked by keshians
wearing black clothes. They appear in two entrances, so when you'll find out
what are those entrances, stay away from there. The keshians are just about
impossible to beat. In one of the entrances is the mocker that the mockers
told you about earlier, when you asked about Lucas. Talk to the man. He'll tell
you about the problems that the mockers are heaving with the sewer monster.
He'll ask you to kill the monster and then he'll lead you to Lucas. Now, finding
the monsters is quite hard, and I don't remember how to get to them, so you'll
have to find them on your own. Once you've found the monster (they are
inside a room), kill them. After you've killed the monsters, don't leave that
room yet: you'll have to destroy its eggs which are in that room to. After
you've destroyed the eggs, go back to the mocker, and tell him you've
destroyed the eggs. Now he'll let you pass. Keep going forward in the tunnel
until you'll reach Lucas.
The objective is to enlist the help of the wreckers' guild and raise the ship.
Go to the sea gate sector. Talk to the guards outside. The guard will let you
come in. when you'll get in, you'll see a man walking towards you. Talk to him.
He'll tell you that the man in charge - Jorath, is in the back. Go to the back,
and enter Jorath's room. He'll tell you that the guild master is dead, and that
the suspect is Kendaric, and he is missing. Ask him to search upstairs. Go
upstairs, and search all the room. Start with the rooms on your right. Go to
Kendaric's room first (the one that is closer to you. Pick the lock. Look at his
drawer. You'll find the shell of Eortis there. Now, go to the room next too
Kendaric's room. That's Jorath's room. Search his drawer. You'll see it is
locked. Jazhara will tell you to come back after dark to see what's in there.
Get out of the wreckers' guild. Now go to the rich sector' and go to the
alchemy shop at the end of the street. Talk to the shopkeeper about the shell
of Eortis, and tell her where you got it. Ask, later, to look around in the
Go as far as you can from the shopkeeper, next to a bookshelf. You'll see it's
a hidden door, and Jazhara once again will tell you to come after dark. Now
get out of the shop and rest until 8 o'clock. Go to the wreckers' guild and get
into Jorath's room. Pick the lock on his drawer. Take the document in the
drawer. Now, go to Ye bitten dog, and talk to lucky Pete. Show him the note.
When he asks how you got it, you can tell the truth or lie. It doesn't matter
much. Beat all the nighthawks when you'll meet them. After you've defeated
all the nighthawks, you better prepare yourself to the next one, because it will
be hard. Which means: drink your healing potions until both James and
Jazhara are totally healthy. If you don't have enough potions, try to assess all
of your potions. In the room next to the one where you fought the 4
nighthawks is a demon and a mage. You won't see the mage at first, so
change the viewing angle with [ and ]. After you've defeated the demon and
the mage, look for a chest behind the mage. In there is the proof that Kendaric
is innocent. After you've taken the proof, go back into the inn and talk to the
guard there. Now go to the rich sector, and go to the shop. Next to the hidden
door that you've found earlier, is a book. Press on that book to open the
secret door. In there you'll meet Kendaric and the shopkeeper.
The episode starts with William and the soldiers finding a group of bear's
mercenaries. Beat them, and then talk to the prisoner. Now talk to your
guards, and search the bodies.
In this episode brother Solon, an Ishapien warrior- priest, and Kendaric, join
you. The objective is to get to widow's point to raise the ship with Kendaric's
spell. You simply need to go until you get to widow's point. However, you
should stop at the inn on the way. Don't sleep outside, fight the goblins in the
inn. Now continue to widow's point.
In this episode William finds Bear and his mercenaries. It is useless to attack
bear, for he has an amulet, which protects him. Attack only his mercenaries.
Then, after you've killed all the mercenaries, attack bear for a few turns.
This episode is my favorite. I really enjoyed in this episode. It is also very
complicated, so follow my moves exactly.
The objective is to find what is the source that prevents Kendaric's spell from
working. Start with talking to the mayor/innkeeper. After you've talked to him,
enter the inn and book a room. Don't enter the room yet. Now, go outside and
go to the shop sector. Get in the shop (the little brown house) and talk to the
shopkeeper. After you've talked to him, go to the blacksmith's house, and talk
to the blacksmith. He'll tell you that his daughter is sick, and he won't let
help her. Now, go to the witch's house. Talk to the boy there. After you've
talked to the boy, go back to the inn and rest through the night until a scream
is heard. Explore the scream. Fight the vampire outside. You can't beat him,
so just attack him until he vanishes. Now, examine the body. Go to the witch's
house, and go inside. Press on the door and then she'll appear. Talk to the
witch. After you've talked to her, go to the shop sector. Next to a house near
the shop are three vampires. Kill them and talk to Nathan. Now, go to widow's
point or the witch's house and rest until morning. Return to the inn. Talk to
mayor, and ask for a letter of recommendation. Then ask him every thing else.
Now go to farmer Alton. First, examine a cow. Then, talk to him. After you've
talked to farmer Alton go to the woman that stands next to a house in the
crossroads. Talk to her as well. After that, go to the pulpit and talk to father
Rowland. After you've talked to him, go to the woodcutter's shack. Fight the
vampire outside the house. After you've beaten him, go in the shack and take
the nightstone and his journal. Now go to the cemetery. Use the nightstone to
create the darkness. Enter the tomb and fight the vampires there. This is a
very hard battle, and I suggest that James or Solon will drink a "weak potion
against the undead". After you've defeated the vampires, search the floor for
valuable stuff. Go back to the inn, and talk to the innkeeper. He will now give
the letter of recommendation. Go to the blacksmith. After that, go to the shop
and examine the shelves that you can examine, until the shopkeeper says,
that he sold a lot of rat poison to father Rowlands. Go to farmer Alton and
examine the fodder. Talk to farmer Alton. After he fainted or died, go to father
Rowland at the pulpit and talk to him. He will attack you, along with a few of
the town's people, which he had enchanted. Kill father Rowland first, and then
you'll have to kill a few townspeople to. Then the spell over them will be
broken. Father Rowland will get up so you'll have to kill him again. After
you've killed father Rowland, talk to the innkeeper. After that, go to the
At first, after you've talked to Talia, beat all the demons. After you've talked
again with Talia, a man will offer to help you. Agree to let him help you.
The objective is to find the source that prevents Kendaric's spell from working
and destroy it.
The entrance to the ancient temple is near the end of widow's point, next to a
pile of rocks. Enter the temple. You'll see 8 skeletons arranged standing near
the walls. Leave them for now. Go forward. You'll get to a door with some sort
of code that needs to be solved. It took me a while till I finally understood
to do. I can't, however explain what to do, so you'll have to figure it out on
your own. Each time you fail, 2 skeletons will get up and attack you. But, after
4 times you'll fail there won't be anymore skeletons. After you succeed
cracking the code, fight the tentacles. After that, enter the door on your
At this point of the game you'll need a lot of healing potions and spell casting
potions, so you could restore your health and spell casting points. Beat the
goblins in the room. You should see a door on your left. Don't go in there yet!
First restore your health and spell casting as much as you can. (You can also
use Solon's spells - breath of Sung and sung's caress). Now enter the room
on your left. There are many goblins in there and a mage. After you've beat
them search the mage's body and take the necromancer's key. Talk to the
prisoners and release them. Now, leave the room. Now, continue going until
the map function is available. Go to the hall of statues. A voice is supposed to
talk to Solon. Solon now should receive a wand. Now go to the part on the
bottom left corner of the map. Two creatures should start talking to you. Go
forward and fight those creatures. After that, enter the room using the
necromancer's key. There is an undead creature there, along with a few
skeletons and a ghoul. Don't attack the undead one yet. It can't be harmed
anyway. First, fight the ghoul and the skeletons. Later, the undead creature
will rise to the air. Now you can harm him with spells. After you've killed him,
destroy the black pearl.
Finally, the ship was raised. Now, you need to get to the tear of the gods. Go
towards the ship on the icy road. About in the middle, 5 undead creatures will
attack you. After that, keep going towards the ship. Once you're inside, fight
the see monster. Try to kill it with spells and don't get near it because one
from that kills you. After that, keep going and fight you way until Solon warns
you about the spells that protect the tear of the gods. You cannot beat the
flying dragon. You can barley ham it. But you need to fight it and stay alive
until solon finishes the prayer. Then, the dragon will fly backwards and the
tear of the gods will come out.
But the game isn't over yet. Come out of the ship and make your way to
shore. There you will find Bear and hid toughest mercenaries. Don't attack
yet. Talk to Bear. When Bear will say, "who will stop me, Kahooli?" you can be
sure that you are close to finish the game. Now the fight with his mercenaries
starts. Bear won't attack you. In some point of the fight the man William met in
the 8 episode should appear. After you've defeated all of bear's mercenaries,
William will come to where Bear is. Talia will be there as well, and she and
William will become together to Kahooli, god of Vengeance. Actually, Bear is
quite Pathetic and easy to beat. After that - the end.
